Welcome to Barleylands! We have a large FREE car park!
At Barleylands we are extremely passionate about caring for the environment. We teach our visitors and school groups as much as we can about recycling, conservation, climate change and how we can all live more sustainably.
Here are some of the things we do at Barleylands to ensure that we are looking after our environment and the countryside.
- Offer 10% off entry to the Farm Park for all visitors who have travelled to us via public transport
- Use energy saving light bulbs
- Recycle tubs, boxes and plastic bottles
- Reuse black bags and plastic food bags
- Use recycled hand towels
- Use recycled bags for animal feed
- Use bark in our outdoor play area
- Compost food and animal waste
- Recycle printer cartridges
- Shred paper for animal bedding
- Use our own mugs instead of paper cups
- Turn off computer screens and printers at night
