Birds of Prey

Imperial Bird of Prey Academy

The Imperial Bird of Prey Academy at Barleylands Farm provides a fun, engaging and memorable insight into birds of prey.

Whether you are interested in owls, hawks, falcons or vultures our knowledgeable team are always on hand to share their passion and get you as excited about these birds as they are.

You can walk through the tree lined walkway to see the birds at rest in their aviaries or weathering ground.  Better yet, why not take a trip to the display lawn where you can watch the birds in one of our seasonal shows.  Here you will not only learn about the birds from one of the display presenters, you can see them doing what they do best as they stretch their wings and take to the sky.

You may learn about why birds of prey have different shaped wings....do you know? Or perhaps find out where a Lanner Falcon comes from.

There is always the opportunity to see one of the display birds on the handlers glove afterwards and this is the perfect opportunity to ask any questions that you want to know the answer to.

We look forward to seeing you at Barleylands, pop in and say hello.
