Cooking at Barleylands
30 March 2011

"Cooking at Barleylands" has become an integral part of our events programme over the past year and something we at Barleylands feel passionate about. As a farming business we have a responsibility to share our knowledge of food production with our visitors and we aim to bring it to life through our cooking sessions. Last summer many of you enjoyed making "pizzas in the park" every Thursday, and we have brought you different cooking activities throughout the school holidays.  All schools that visit us spend part of their Educational Day cooking in the Barleylands kitchen, and take home a healthy, creative snack.

We have several cooks working with us at Barleylands and feel it is time to share some of our tasty recipes with you! Cooking from scratch is not only fun, it really gets us thinking about what we are eating and is a cheaper option to the many ready meals that we find on the supermarket shelves.
