Education on the Farm
05 March 2012

The education team at Barleylands are preparing for a very busy run up to Easter with a record number of schools due to visit and experience their unique educational days.

Schools from all over Essex will benefit from their very own curriculum linked day, focusing on Food and farming, Healthy eating, World War II, Victorian or Little red hen. Days include time spent out on the farm and cooking in the Barleylands kitchen.

With a dedicated team to assist schools in bringing the curriculum to life and always eager to meet the challenge of putting together bespoke days, word is spreading and schools from London and Hertfordshire are also making the journey to our “outside classroom” here on the farm.

If you are a Head teacher, teacher, teaching assistant or pre-school leader looking to organise your next trip, then please join us at our next Teachers Workshop on Thursday 8th March, 2012, from 4.30pm to 6.30pm, where in our education room a member of the team will be on hand to present our education programme. We can discuss your specific needs and even involve you in a pizza making session!  For further information or to book a space please contact Karen on 01268 290232 or e-mail her at Karen@barleylands.co.uk
