Group Visits at Barleylands

Calling all Rainbows, Beavers, Brownies & Cubs…

We hold our Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge and all staff working with children hold  enhanced DBS Certificates.

Barleylands is the ideal place to work towards your badges and get involved with lots of activities!

  • Rainbows

    As part of the Girlguiding Growing Up Wild initiative, Rainbows working towards their All About Farming Badge can visit Barleylands and enjoy some of the following activities;

    Meet and feed our animals and their babies
    Bottle feed lambs
    Find out how their food is produced and what crops we grow
    Bake some bread
    Make a bird scarer
    Visit our polytunnel and cook with our homegrown ingredients
    Make their own wormery
    Plant a seed to take home
    Make corn dollies

  • Beavers

    Leaders, Barleylands is a great destination for your Beaver Colony and we can help your children work towards their Cook Activity Badge, Animal Friend Activity Badge and Healthy Eating Activity badge.

  • Brownies

    Bring your Brownie pack to Barleylands and we can help them work towards their Cook, Environment, Friend to Animals and Season badges.

    Plus as part of the Girlguiding Growing Up Wild initiative, Brownies working towards their All About Farming Badge can visit Barleylands and have a go at some of the following activities;
