Can I visit before I bring my group?
Yes you can. Once you have booked your visit and received a confirmation email we offer free admission for up to two teachers to complete a risk assessment. Please book this with Karen. (Please note our own risk assessment is sent to you with your confirmation and is available to download here). Please bring a copy of your confirmation with you when you come for your pre visit to show to the Farm Park staff on the kiosk. If you wish to bring any family with you, entry can be paid for at the kiosk.
Do you offer free adult places?
Yes we do! Free group leader/staff places are available dependent on the number of paying children in the group. Carers come free with SEN groups. Please enquire for further details.
Do you have special offers?
Our guided visits and upgraded unguided currently include a free Child’s Farm Park Annual Pass worth £57 for every paying child!
Terms & Conditions: This offer cannot be backdated for existing school bookings and is not valid for future school/group visits. Your booking must be a registered group of 15 or more paying children visiting in term time before 31st July 2019. This offer is not valid for unled group visits or outreach visits. You will receive your vouchers when you have paid your full balance. Each child will receive a voucher to redeem for a Barleylands Pass to Barleylands Farm Park. This voucher must be redeemed by 30th September 2019. Please note Barleylands Passes can not be used for future educational visits or discounted group packages. What's included in my visit?
Enjoy the daily activities in the farm park, an undercover animal barn, tractor and trailer rides, a visit to our reptile house and tonnes of indoor and outdoor play. This package includes our farm trail to help you learn more about where your food comes from, explore the bird aviary, enjoy our discovery barn, and of course our wonderful outdoor play areas.
Upgraded Unguided Visits
You can upgrade for an additional £1 per child and receive free animal feed, your own personal tractor and trailer ride, an undercover base from 10.00 a.m. to 2.00p.m. and each paying child will also receive a voucher to redeem for a free £57 annual pass (t’s and c’s apply)
Facilitated by our Education Team. Choose from a variety of themed cross curricular days or liaise with our education officer to create a bespoke day to fit your curriculum needs and topic. These extremely educational days link with science, history, geography, psche, literacy and maths and are adapted to suit all key stages. Cook in the Barleylands Kitchen and take a Tractor Trailer ride.
Where can we park?
We have a large car park with ample free parking for coaches.
When does the day start?
The day starts at 10am and finishes at 2pm.
Where can we eat our lunch?
We hope the weather will be nice enough to enjoy lunch outside. Guided groups will have a base for the day and there are undercover picnic areas around the farm for Unguided groups to use should the weather be unkind.
Is it inclusive for children with SEN
Yes! Our programme is inclusive for SEND children.
How does the Hatching Programme work?
Schools and Groups can now take advantage of our chick hatching programme, offering the chance to interact, care and learn about chickens. See new life emerge before your eyes. How many children can I bring?
Our Unguided Visits are for registered groups of more than 15 paying customers (no minimum required for SEN groups) whilst our Guided Visits can be for anything from a class to a whole school!
What are your costs?
£8.00 per person September to May
£8.50 per person June & July in term time (excluding VAT).
Upgraded unguided visit
£9 per person September to May
£9.50 per person June and July in term time (excluding VAT)

Unguided group visits during school holidays and weekends are £10.00 per person (including VAT).

Free teacher places available, please ask for details when booking. Under 2’s are free of charge.
Our Habitat and Food Chains Day, carries an additional cost of £1.00 per child.
For groups of fewer than 23 children there is a minimum charge of £250 (excluding VAT) during September to May and £270 (excluding VAT) during June and July for staff led days.
Package includes a free £57 annual pass for each paying child.
If children are bringing spending money, please let us know in advance and we will prepare your gift bags ready for you to take away at the end of the day.
