Room Hire Charges

Meetings & Conferences

  • £100 – Half Day Hire (either 9 am to 1pm or 1pm to 5pm)
  • £200 – Full Day Hire (9am to 5pm)

We supply the following free of charge for all meetings and conferences.

  • Projector and screen
  • Flipchart with paper & pens
  • WiFi
  • Paper & Pens
  • Jugs of Water
  • Teas/Coffees – Weekdays only
    Maximum of 2 drinks for a half day booking and 4 for a full day booking.

The function rooms are versatile, we can set them up for theatre, boardroom, classroom or café style, simply ask at the time of booking.

A non refundable deposit of 50% is required at time of booking.

Parties, Wedding Receptions & Baby Showers

Barleylands Function Rooms are not just for meetings and conferences, they are great for parties, weddings and baby showers as well.

  • Terms and Conditions
    1. A provisional booking will be held for 7 days.
    2. A booking will be confirmed on receipt of a deposit, which is to be 50% of the total room hire charge.
    3. All deposits are non-refundable.
    4. An indication of numbers is required before booking, maximum of 120 people or 60 seated.
    5. The Management reserve the right to amend its published prices by giving a minimum of 3 months’ notice.
    6. Hirer’s must arrange their own food and drink.
    7. Please note that the function rooms do not have any kitchen or bar facilities.
    8. The equipment in the function room must not be used, any damages will be charged to the hirer.
    9. No equipment is to be used that produces any smoke as this will set off the fire alarms.
    10. The Management accepts no responsibility for any valuables or other personal property left unattended in the Function Rooms.
    11. The event organizer must leave the site secure, as per instruction on the day.
    12. All noise and music must be kept to a reasonable level, all music must be stopped by 11pm and room vacated by 12 midnight.
    13. No alcohol must be sold on site.
    14. The Functions Rooms must be left in a clean & tidy condition at the end of your event. The cost of any clearing/cleaning will be charged to the hirer.
    15. All rubbish MUST be removed off site (taken home) when you leave, no rubbish to be left on the premises.
    16. Damage to the Function Rooms and contents, walls, flooring, soft furnishings, carpets, building or plants caused by guests at an event will be charged at cost to the person booking the function.
    17. Children must not be allowed to run around outside of the function rooms, all children must be supervised.
    18. There must be no smoking inside the function rooms or outside on the balcony area, there are cigarette bins located in the courtyard downstairs.
    19. Decorations/signs are not to be put up anywhere outside of the function rooms.
    20. The courtyard is not to be used by guests unless they are using the smoking bins, any drinks etc. taken downstairs MUST be taken back to the room, any items left in the courtyard that have to be cleared up by our staff will be chargeable to the hirer.
    21. The courtyard is not to be used before 6pm.
    22. All parking must be in the Main Barleylands car park, you will be given a code.
    23. The full balance will be due one month before the event takes place.
    24. You must inform us in advance if the disabled lifts will be required during your event.
    25. For parties, we require a £150 refundable litter/damage deposit, which will be returned after the event as long as the room is left clean & tidy and there are no damages.
    26. Your refundable litter damage deposit will not be returned if the above rules are not adhered to.
    27. You will be responsible for all health & safety of your guests during your event, it is your responsibility to do a risk assessment, have a first aider on site, and that you nominate someone is to deal with any emergencies during your event and that they know where the fire exits are or nearest exits before the event starts.
