The Play Barn Cafe is currently closed for refurbishment (exciting plans to be announced soon!). From 2nd January 2016 there will be a mobile catering unit in the Craft Village offering snacks and drinks. We are very sorry for the inconvenience. The Play Barn itself in the Farm Park is open for fun.
Barleylands is the perfect all weather, best large attraction in Essex! As well as the cutest and friendiest animals in the Farm Park, we have fun packed indoor and outdoor adventure play areas - race down slides, scale the playframe, whizz on the zip wire and bounce on the huge jumping pillow. Then journey out to the crop fields on the bumpy tractor & trailer ride, join in animal activities and explore the Discovery Centre. Plus explore the South East's largest display collection of reptiles in the Reptile House. There's so much to do!

One All Inclusive Ticket
Your admission ticket to Barleylands includes nearly all activities including the Tractor & Trailer Ride, as well as full access to the indoor play areas and outdoor play zones. All in all, a great day out for the whole family, no matter what the weather.
Our children’s farm is ideally suited for children aged as young as toddlers or up to ten years old. It is advisable to allow at least a minimum of three hours for your visit.
Children's University Learning Destination
Barleylands are delighted to have been awarded “Learning Destination” status by the Children’s University. Members can now receive stamps in their “passports to learning” having completed a variety of educational activities here at Barleylands.

The Farm Park is open everyday (plese click here for Barleylands opening times) except during the Essex Country Show weekend in September, where you would need to purchase a show ticket to visit the Farm Park. Visit the Essex Country Show for details. Children must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 years +.
