Barleylands Craft Village & Farm Park Visitor Attraction.

  • The main duties are to undertake the general external upkeep to ensure a clean and tidy exterior is maintained.
  • Complete a weekly stock take of all cleaning materials and general supplies.
  • General mowing, strimming & basic gardening.
  • Tractor driving and driving fork trucks, loading/unloading lorries.
  • Operating vacuum tanker for emptying waste tanks.
  • Repairing fencing, signs etc.
  • Litter picking, leaf blowing & sweeping.
  • Setting up and breaking down of events & conferences.
  • Must be approachable and able to deal with members of the public.
  • A smart appearance is very important.
  • Full clean driving licence is required.
  • Excellent working conditions and rates of pay for the right individual.

Full-Time Hours 7am to 5.30pm – weekdays and weekends (5 days flexible), also additional dates when required.

Two Cleaner’s Required

Ensuring a high standard of presentation and hygiene in our offices, toilets and visitor centre.

Hours 6 am to 12 pm 4 days a week on a rolling basis, including weekend work.

Education Assistants

The Barleylands Education team facilitate a variety of themed educational days to link with the curriculum, and through fun, interactive activities and cookery workshops, give children a better understanding of where their food comes from, and the importance of a healthy balanced diet.

We are always looking for enthusiastic and lively individuals to join the team, hosting school visits.  If you have the skills and attributes we are seeking, we would love to hear from you.

The role is not full time.  You would be required term time only on days when schools are visiting, and your working hours would generally be between 8.30 a.m. and 3.30p.m.

This role would suit people returning to teaching or looking for part time work teaching children.

About you

  1. A fun and passionate person who enjoys teaching children
  2. Happy to lead large groups, imparting knowledge, facilitating hands on activities and checking that learning objectives are being met.
  3. Experience in working with EYFS, KS1 and KS2 children would be an advantage, but not necessary.
  4. Possess strong communication skills.
  5. Have a flexible work approach and be able to use your own initiative
  6. Be adaptable to an ever-changing working environment
  7. Be willing to absorb and relay information regarding Food, Farming and the Environment
  8. Hold a full/clean UK Driving Licence

  • As Maintenance Team Member you will have experience in one or more building trades including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting/ decorating or general building maintenance.
