    By car

    From M25 / A127

    Exit at J29 onto A127 Southend bound. Exit at A176 junction for Basildon/Billericay. From here you can follow the brown signs. At the roundabout take the third exit on to South Wash Road. At the second mini roundabout turn left on to Barleylands Road. Barleylands car park is situated one mile down on the right hand side. We have a large, free all-weather car park for cars and coaches with designated disabled spaces.

    From A12

    Exit at J16 onto B1007 towards Billericay. From here you can follow the brown signs. Drive through Billericay High Street and continue over the roundabout on to Laindon Road. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit on to Noak Hill Road and then take the 1st left on to Church Street. At the end of the road turn right on to Southend Road and then turn right again in to Barleylands Road. Barleylands car park is situated 1/2 mile down on the left hand side. We have a large, free all-weather car park for cars and coaches with designated disabled spaces.

    By train

    The nearest Train Stations are Billericay and Basildon, which are equal distances from Barleylands. From both stations you can take the number 100 bus which stops outside Barleylands.

    By bus

    Barleylands is served by bus 300 linking Barleylands with Chelmsford, Billericay, Basildon, Grays and Thurrock. Find out more at www.firstgroup.com

    On the 26th, 27th, 30th and 31st of October we will close at 4pm for our Spooky Nights. On the 1st-3rd of November we will close at 3.30pm for our drive-in fireworks events.

    The Village

    Open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm (Winter), 10am to 5pm (Summer). Sunday, 10am-4pm

    Tiptree Tea Room and Tiptree Pantry

    We have a large, free, level car park with dedicated disabled parking bays close to the entrance of the craft village which leads on to the entrance of the Farm Park. We also have dedicated coach parking.

    We work hard to try and create a relaxing and stress-free environment for parents and children to visit.

    Farm Park

    The Farm Park is on one level with benches positioned throughout and the majority of paths are concrete or tarmac making 85% of the Farm Park easily accessible. We recommend wearing footwear that is appropriate for the weather conditions on the day. Click here to see our accessibility guide.

    All areas are on ground level apart from Nocturnal and Exotics House which has two levels. There is a wheelchair/pushchair accessible lift to gain entry to the upper floor.

    Non motorised wheelchairs are available for your use from the Farm Park. Please phone in advance to book or speak to staff at the Farm Park entrance.

    Throughout the year we welcome various disabled groups to our Farm Park and Village. If you would like to enquire about group visits please click here.

    Guide/assistance dogs are welcome at Barleylands but Emotional Support Dogs are not permitted. We ask that you clean up after the dog and please be aware that their presence will still evoke a fear response in some of our animals so to please be mindful on your visit.

    Within the Farm Park we two disabled toilets please see our accessibility map for their location. We also have a Changing Places facility within the Farm Park and are working on another within our Craft Village to be installed in 2024.

    Our Tractor and Trailer ride has an accessibility ramp that a Wheelchair can be put on and lifted up. Please note, only two wheelchairs per ride are permitted due to the fire risk. The other tractor is accessible to those who can climb two steps with assistance.

    Automatic doors are in use around the farm, including reception. The reception area is open plan to aid lip reading and visitors with visual impairments.

    Both the Farm Park map and activity sheet are available in large print when requested in advance.

    Carers are welcomed into the Farm Park for a reduced cost, this must be purchased from our kiosk using an ID card such as a DID card.

    The Village

    The wonderful studios in our Village are set out over two levels with lift access either side of the Village, making all shops wheelchair/pushchair accessible.

    Wide corridors and doorways throughout make for an enjoyable shopping experience. There are four disabled toilets situated within the Village, including one within the Tiptree Tea Rooms.

    The Tea Rooms cater for a wide variety of dietary requirements. Please speak to the catering staff for further details.

    How much does it cost to visit the Farm Park?

    I have not received my booking confirmation email, what do I do?
    Our booking confirmation emails should be sent through within 10 minutes of you booking. If you have not received an email within this time, please firstly check the spam/junk folder of your emails. If you still cannot find your booking email, please email [email protected] and we can investigate. If you are visiting today and you have payment confirmation, we can look into this for you at the kiosk.
    I am going to be slightly early or late for my pre-booked arrival time, will I still be allowed in?
    Don’t worry these things happen! You will still be allowed to access the Farm Park but please be prepared to wait a few minutes longer at the kiosk while we admit any groups that have already booked in to the timeslot that you have arrived at.
    I am a carer, what ID do I need and will I be charged an entry fee?
    Entry to Barleylands Farm Park will be provided at a reduced cost for carers who are accompanying visitors whose disability necessitates their support. You will be asked for carer ID or a supporting letter at the kiosk.
    I would like to bring an extra person with me but I haven’t pre-booked, what do I do?
    As long as your group will contain six or less people in total and the addition meets current COVID-19 guidelines, you can purchase one or two additional tickets at the till upon arrival.

    We are not currently taking on any volunteers. The Farm Park doesn’t offer work placements but Imperial Birds of Prey can be contacted at [email protected]  Please contact them directly to see if they have availability for you.
