Thank You

It is with great sadness and reluctance that we announce the 2016 Essex Country Show, which will be held on 10th and 11th September 2016 was the last.

For 30 years, we have been extremely proud of hosting a diverse range of attractions, demonstrations and stands at the 2-day event. Since the show started, we have worked hard to keep the show quality high and have raised an estimated £250,000 for worthy charities.

Despite it’s astounding success with the public, the show’s operating costs are unfortunately increasing annually. Combined with less craftsmen and traders wishing to exhibit (who are tending to grow their businesses online instead) and the unpredictability of the British weather, this difficult decision has been made.

Said Andrew Philpot, Director ‘As a family we would like to thank the exhibitors and public for supporting the Essex Country Show faithfully, willingly and enthusiastically over the years. It would not have been possible to have had 30 successful years without you all. Although this is the end for the show we are planning to carry the spirit forward into smaller events linked to the Farm Park and The Village. Please keep your eyes peeled as we hope to have some news for you in the New Year”

Please note that Barleylands is not in anyway involved with a country show of the same name being run by another organisation on 9th/10th September.
