Barleylands has new Farm Park Manager with eye on new experiences

Barleylands Farm Park has welcomed Charlotte Goodman as its new Farm Park Manager.

Charlotte takes responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Billericay family-run farm, developing interactive animal experiences and daily activities, all events, as well as managing the whole Farm Park team.  Her remit is to ensure every visitor has a memorable and great day out.

Charlotte joins following six years working for the Coca-Cola London Eye, where she was Operations Manager for Hospitality, before being promoted to Product Excellence Manager.  There she worked across every aspect of the London Eye experience, ensuring that visitors had the best visit possible, whatever they did and whenever they came.

Her experience included managing all aspects of customer interaction and brand enjoyment, across the London Eye itself, River Cruises, the Lounge, website, admissions and was part of the senior team that welcomed 20,000 guests a day, from all over the world.

Previously, Charlotte worked for Walt Disney World, Florida as Cultural Representative for the UK at the Epcot Centre’s international pavilions.  Charlotte has also worked in customer service and hospitality roles for Marriot Hotels and the John Lewis Partnership and she’s extremely excited about the new challenges she faces at Barleylands Farm Park and the philosophy of the Philpot family she has found there.

Charlotte said:  “The opportunity to work at Barleylands Farm Park and to embrace the Philpot family philosophy of wholesome family fun within a farming experience and discovery centre, was too good to resist.

“I am already immersing myself in the summer events and planning Spooky Nights and Christmas, to name but a few.  Barleylands Farm Park is a must-visit attraction in Essex, and with the great team we’ve got here, and so many interesting activities going on, we’re working hard to give all our visitors a great day out, day after day.”
