Blasting off to Mad Science Week!

Mad Science is back!

After the popularity of Mad Science Week last year, Barleylands are delighted to welcome back the official Mad Science team to the Farm Park from Monday 15th to Friday 19th over February half term with sensational shows.

There’ll be four different wacky Mad Science shows wowing visitors every day including ‘Bubbling Potions’, ‘Under Pressure’ and ‘Electrifying Science’. Young scientists can put on a white coat and goggles and try their own colourful hands-on science experiment too.

The vast array of reptiles are getting in on the act with interactive reptile sessions with a science slant, and there will be Birds of Prey displays explaining the science of flight. Most of the activities are indoors or undercover so the weather can’t spoil the fun.

Said Dave Finkle, Farm Park Manager: “Mad Science last year was a huge success and it’s going to be even bigger and better this February half term. The official Mad Science team are always fantastic, plus this year now we have the Snakes Alive Reptile House, we’ll be adding snakes, lizards, mini beasts and amphibians into the science mix. It will be a blast for the whole family! What’s more, the Tiptree Cafeteria in the Indoor Play Barn and Tiptree Pantry in the Craft Village will both be up and running for half term too!”

As always visitors will be able to join in lamb bottle feeding, meet farmyard friends, go wild in the indoor play barn, jump on a tractor and trailer ride and so much more. Mad Science Week runs from Monday 15th to Friday 19th February in the Farm Park. Those booking online in advance can save 10% too. Click here.
