Barleylands Essex Country Show Awards Cheques to Charity

On Sunday 12th April 2015 Essex Country Show Committee Members made their annual cheque presentations to representatives of their nominated charities. Each charity was officially presented with a cheque of £1000 following the 2014 show.

One of the many long standing traditions of the Barleylands annual Essex Country Show is supporting worthy charities, and each year donations are made to charities selected by show committee members.

The charities nominated for 2014 were; Southend Hospital Keyhole Cancer Appeal, Brainwave South East, Down Syndrome Extra 21 and Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Said Andrew Philpot, Show Director “We are proud to give something back and make these charitable donations and these important causes are close to the hearts of our committee members. The Essex Country Show is one of the highlights of the Barleylands calendar and we’re very excited about the 2015 show this September, which is our 29th show, and have a fantastic line up of shows, attractions and exhibitors.”
