School Visits
Exciting learning opportunities at Barleylands - Educational Farm of the Year 2013
Bringing the curriculum to life, Barleylands is an excellent venue for school and group visits. We believe we are experts in our field at teaching people of all ages about food farming and the countryside. Barleylands proudly received the award for 'Best in Education 2013' at the annual National Farm Attractions Network Conference.
We encourage children to explore how their food choices impact on their health, as well as that of the planet and to take the time to discover the pleasure of enjoying real food. Cooking is a life skill and at Barleylands, children can have the opportunity to cook a snack from scratch.
We cater for all group sizes from a single year to the whole school, and offer a variety of workshops to fit your curriculum needs and abilities of your group. We also offer teachers who have booked a visit and are coming to do their risk assessment a free visit.
