School Visits
Exciting learning opportunities at Barleylands
Come Rain or Shine Barleylands is an excellent place for your School Visit! At Barleylands we believe we are experts in our field at teaching people of all ages about farming, the countryside and traditional crafts.
Why not let us bring the curriculum to life through a variety of activities which will give children a better understanding of where their food comes from. Visit from September to July and let Barleylands take you through the seasons. We encourage children to explore how their food choices impact on their health and that of the planet and to take the time to discover the pleasure of enjoying real food. Cooking is a life skill and at Barleylands, every child will have the opportunity to cook a snack from scratch using fresh, local ingredients.
We cater for all group sizes from a single year to the whole school. Our Education Team are happy to plan your bespoke day, fitting in with many curriculum topics from planting and growing, to the Victorians and WW2. There is also an opportunity to visit our Birds of Prey Centre and watch exciting demonstrations.
Visits are extremely cross curricular and suitable for all ages from EYFS through to KS4. We pride ourselves on working with you to provide a bespoke day.
