You may have noticed how much we love Autumn and Spooky Season here in The Village. An exciting time as the year starts to draw to a close. We have LOADS to keep the whole family entertained, from FREE activities in The Village, to arts, crafts & shopping in our unique collection of businesses that call The Village at Barleylands, home.
Not only are there things to see, do and get involved in during the daytime throughout October, we can’t help but mention our Halloween Half Term Festival / Spooky Nights events that are ran by the Farm Park (running from Saturday 25th Oct until Sunday 2nd Nov). More info on this below…
So what’s on we hear you cry!
FREE Activities for the whole Family:
- You loved the Summer Games on the Green so much, that we have decided to extend their run date. The weather seems to be fairly warm and on our side (for now), so please make use of the games until Sunday 2nd November. In case you missed it, The Sporting Souvenir Shop have kindly donated games for Children and families to enjoy – we change the games each week so that you won’t get bored of trying to challenge your little ones to a game (or two). The Sporting Souvenir Shop as based on the Upper Level in Studio 47 and have everything from memorabilia to Premier League official merchandise!
- Our second FREE activity to get involved with this October will be our Halloween Trail – this time, go ‘Pumpkin Hunting’ to claim your prize… more details on this to follow in it’s own post, but put the dates in the diary: TRAIL WILL RUN FROM SATURDAY 18th OCT until SUNDAY 2nd NOV!

Peacock Pottery Barn have lots of Halloween ceramics, just in. Now is your chance to book a Spooky Painting session. You don’t need to wait until Half Term, there’s loads going on in Studio 33 – 35 right across the month. For more information and booking times, please visit their social media pages and / website.
Celebrate Gymnastics are hosting a Half Term Holiday Club, on Weds 29th Oct you can join in the fun and chose between 2 x time slots. Gym, games and activities. Again, check out their social media and / website for details to book.
