Following recent Government guidelines, and with the support of the local authority, we are delighted that we are able to confirm a phased and gradual re-opening of Barleylands.
Over the past few weeks we have been working hard to implement safety measures so that you can enjoy our outdoor space, walks and trails.
We have created walking routes around the Barleylands site with quizzes, games, and interactive trails for you to complete. All indoor areas and play equipment remains out of bounds as per current government legislation.
-Bookings must be made online with pre-booking only, in order to strictly limit the number of people who are on site at any given time.
-Annual pass holders must book an arrival time slot to aid with visitor flow and social distancing. Members will need to enter their membership numbers upon booking an arrival slot.
-Once you have booked a time slot we ask that you either download or print off your guides, maps, and trails prior to arrival at the farm; this will reduce the need to handle materials at reception. Please remember to bring a pen/ pencil with you.
-In line with government legislation all indoor activities and exhibits, and play remains closed for now. This includes; indoor play, animal barn, discover centre, bouncy pillow, the Barleylands speedway, exotics and nocturnal house, and the aviary.

-There is a one-way system in operation around the farm to help with visitor flow and to ensure social distancing.
-There are floor markings and reminder signs around the site to help with social distancing.
-There are protective screens at reception to safeguard visitors and staff.
-Staff will be wearing PPE for the safety of themselves and customers.

-Visitors are welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy, picnic tables have been set out with social distancing in mind, so please do not move them.

-Toilet and handwashing facilities will be open but we ask for your consideration when using these and request that you respect social distancing guidelines. These facilities will be sanitised at regular intervals during the day.
