The history of the Harvest Festival and how our food is grown and harvested. Ideal for the autumn term.
Aimed at teaching children how their food is grown and its journey to their table. We will bring a variety of seeds and their familiar end products found in the supermarket. Children will see wheat seeds being ground into flour and learn about the process of turning growing wheat into bread.
Based on the eat well guide, we offer a fun workshop where children will create a ‘healthy’ and ‘unhealthy’ lunchbox and learn the importance of a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle.
